Formal membership in MICAH is by congregations.
Each congregation determines the amount of dues they can
pay.
Each congregation has a representative on the MICAH Board
of Directors. All MICAH pastors and other pastoral leaders
are encouraged to participate in the monthly meeting of clergy.
Each congregation is expected to participate in major MICAH
events (e.g. Public Meetings, Rallies, Annual Banquet, etc.).
Each congregation seeks out members who are interested and
capable to serve on MICAH's issue committees, such as Education,
Jobs and Economic Development, AODA Treatment, etc.
Each congregation needs to find a way to share MICAH information
with all their members.
Each congregation, of course, needs to follow its own procedures
for making a commitment to be part of MICAH. MICAH staff and
leaders are available to speak with members of congregations
that are considering membership. Once the decision is made,
a congregation needs only to submit a simple application form,
the name of its Board member, and dues for the first month.
Applications and other materials are available through the
MICAH office.
Individuals who are not members of MICAH congregations
are invited to participate in MICAH issue committees.
