The MICAH Youth Council will launch a youth leadership institute in 2005. This institute will be a training, learning, and growing opportunity for youth who desire to exercise their faith and values in the arena of public action. Only 20 applicants will be accepted for the first institute. All applicants will have to go through an interview process before selection takes place. The application deadline is January 14, 2005. Youth who are interested in applying for the institute should contact Christopher Boston to begin the application process.

MICAH YOUTH COUNCIL

On April 25, 2003, The MICAH Youth Council reactivated with a new focus and verve to empower youth on issues of justice. MICAH is committed to imparting the organizing principles of faith, values, and power to the generation of which the future of our communities so desperately depend.

Many of the issues in our communities today directly impact the lives of our youth. It was out of the need to empower youth in our congregations that the Youth Council was restructured to educate and train our youth by creating opportunities for them to fight for what they believe.

We encourage leaders in our congregations who are serious about building power and making a difference in our communities to seek youth are concerned, passionate, and serious about the call of justice!
